Whitstable, England - Signed Fine Art Edition Print

£149.00 GBP

I was one of 50 lucky Wild Card Artists selected by Sky Arts to paint the beautiful Harbour & Beach of Whitstable, a seaside town on the North Coast of Kent, England famous for its 'native oysters'. My view was of the Whitstable Yacht club, the charming sail boats, and the beautiful beach divided up by the wooden Groynes that sweep down to the water.

Sky Landscape Artist of the Year is a competition of 8 main artists and 50 Wild Card Artists that have a chance to be seen and selected by the judges whilst painting their given view 'En Plein Air' in a matter of hours!

I met Presenter Joan Bakewell who loved my painting & Landscape Artist Judge & Curator Kathleen Soriano who came to talk to me about my composition and the palette I had chosen, little did I know then that it was because I was her favourite in the Wild Card Artists!
