"The Palm House at Kew Gardens is an amazing place to visit and somewhere I have always loved to go to draw and for inspiration. The scale of the Palms and the exotic plants inside are fascinating. Having lived in Asia for many years, and having returned to London I find that stepping into the Palm House with the instant change of heat and the humidity and the smell of those dark green tropical foliage transport me straight back to Asia. In this art piece, I wanted to convey the scale of the plants inside this extraordinary structure of the Victorian glasshouse."
