Hemingway House, Key West Florida

I created this painting of Hemingway House, the residence of author Ernest Hemingway in Key West, Florida, United States, after I visited on a Florida trip. This Key West Landmark was home to one of America's most respected authors and is nestled in the heart of old town Key West where Hemingway lived for 10 years during the most prolific period of this Nobel Prize winner’s writing career.

The galleried verandah, window shutters & tropical gardens are similar to the shophouses & black and white houses of Singapore, my first Landmarks Collection. Hemingway House is the first of my American Landmarks.
