Artist in Residence at Chateaux Orquevaux

I am so thrilled to have received news that I have won a place for an Artist in Residence at the beautiful Chateaux Orquevaux in France

I have not experienced an Art Residency so far and I love France so I am so excited to be planning my 2 week stay there!
I will be living and painting in the Chateaux alongside other international artists from NYC, Australia, Japan and Germany. Each artist gets their own studio and own bedroom.
That alone is enough to give me butterflies of excitement in the stomach but we will also be eating local french food and visiting some of the local landmarks, what's not to like ?

I made an application to the residency programme director Ziggy Attias as I paint landmarks and this is a stunning building and I wanted to have the opportunity to paint it and the sumptuous grounds it sits in. I will be painting a piece of art during my residency for the permanant collection at the Chateau.

* I packed up all my art materials and belongings and was preparing to drive to France when the Pandemic hit. So my art residency is still on just postponed till we can travel again. Stay safe everyone!
