Drawn directly from life, this piece captures a cluster of deep purple hellebores growing just outside my studio window. Using wax pastels for rich, expressive texture and acrylic ink for contrast and detail, I explored the natural movement and moody elegance of these early spring blooms. Set in a Japanese porcelain bowl, the composition balances stillness with energy—perfect for bringing some contemporary zen energy into any space.
