Before I paint I have a little meditative ritual as I am selecting them and then I spend time with them choosing the container and being present with their colour, their scent of they have that and their unique character. Each stem has its own signature.
This dry summer has reminded me to be grateful, not only for the sunshine, but also for the rain that nourishes the garden and makes such a myriad of blooms possible.
