Singapore Shophouses - Original Painting

This painting is of the former dwellings of the spice merchants who brought cloves, nutmeg and mace to Singapore. These restored Shophouses of Singapore have decorative shutters, Peranakan details with an array of bright coloured facades. This row of Shophouses were painted in Blair Road but similar ones exist on Emerald Hill and other neighbourhoods of Singapore now mostly used as stylish residential dwellings or chic retail spaces.
