The Singapore River is part of Singapore's trade route when spice merchants would bring nutmeg, mace and cinnamon which were store in and sold from the pastel coloured Shophouses buildings in Singapore, a trade route in Asia. This painting brings to the viewer a synergy of Singapore's vibrant neighbourhoods and heritage architecture.
