Michelin Building - Original Painting

£7,500.00 GBP

The Michelin Building is an art-deco delight. It's artistic allure isn't exclusive to its colourful tiled and eye-catching exteriors. Originally it was home to the Michelin Tyre Company and, being designed by one of it's employees François Espinasse, it includes large stained glass windows featuring the Michelin Man "Bibendum". It is now home to Michelin-starred Bibendum Restaurant & Oyster Bar, the Conran shop and the flower shop Petals at Bibendum that spills out onto the Fulham Road.

'As a painter, this is such an iconic building to capture as it has so many decorative elements from the stained glass windows to the coloured tiles and the ornate ironwork above the restaurant entrance. I wanted to include it in my London Landmarks as I also love how people interact with a building. Here you can find the passers-by, the restaurant clientele and the browsers at the flowers shop as they are in a typical day.' - Clare
