Tropical Ginger Lily

This painting depicts the stunning Torch Ginger or Red Ginger Lily flower drawn from the Botanic Gardens in Singapore. The Ginger Garden has been a source of great inspiration for Clare's Botanical series of paintings. The palette is an array of corals and pinks of this showy statement head flower on the long statuesque stems. The artist works with printmaking: mono printing on Chinese paper for the line detail and with various mixed media technique to create this expressive flower painting and the humidity of the tropics and Singapore.
