Liberty of London

£285.00 GBP

The Liberty London Department Store is one of London's iconic buildings, a stunning black and white Tudor revival building built with timber from 2 ships - HMS Impregnable and HMS Hindustan. The frontage at Great Marlborough Street is the same length as the Hindustan.

Arthur Lasenby Liberty opened the Regent Street Store in 1875 with a vision of bringing the best handcrafted designs from Asia and the Orient to a society intoxicated by the East and showcasing the very best Arts and Craft Designers of London.

Clare's painting of Liberty depicts the store as it is today with the Great Marlborough Street frontage & the colourful flower shop entrance.

Clare is a British Contemporary Artist who creates original mixed media paintings and signed limited edition prints of architectural landmarks
